Religion
The southern colonies did not have a certain religion that everyone went by. Most people were Anglicans and Baptists.
Anglicanism: The Anglican Church is supported by taxes so all of the churches are well established and cared for. All of the government officials in office require Church of England affiliation. The Anglican church also support orphans and other needy people within the church with the taxes.

Baptists: The Baptist community here is not as abundant as the Anglican Church but it is growing in numbers. Religious freedom is a big thing here and baptists are starting to rise. They believe the literal text of the bible and are baptizing adults left and right.
