VirginiaThe economy in Virginia focuses on agriculture. Farmers have grown and developed plantations by exporting some of their major crops. These crops include tobacco, cotton, corn, vegetables, grains, fruits, and livestock.

MarylandMaryland's economy focuses on tobacco and manufacturing. Ships and iron works are just a few of the things manufactured in Maryland. The Iron Act of 1750 was passed to encourage people to get into iron works and export iron using pig iron. This act has helped mercantilism and trade with other nations.

north carolinaNorth Carolina has good agricultural land and agriculture is a major economy booster. Crops that are produced are traded for items that you can't find on the farm. Some of these items include shoes, lace, thread, tools, and dishes.

South Carolina
Plantations in South Carolina grow cotton, rice, tobacco, sugar, indigo, and other crops. The plantations in Southern Colonies have the largest slave population out of all the southern colonies. Plantations are self sufficient and have a main house, slave quarters, a dairy, blacksmith's shop, laundry, and a smokehouse. |

The economy in Georgia depends on agriculture and trade like all the other southern colonies. Plantations manage food being produced and some crops are traded for things not found on the farm. |
